When we wanted to leave the Kitchen, we felt that Jim Burton was a good candidate as a director, but by the time of the actual transfer, he had become a co-director with Bob Stearns.
Jim was a musician and performer, who started frequenting the Kitchen early on. The first sample here is a part of sketches he asked me and Woody to tape. The second sample is a sample shot from a performance titled “Something is cooking in the Kitchen.”
