Our co-founder/collaborator Andres Mannik was primarily interested in dance and his great contribution was the excellent dance floor he constructed on the top of the original concrete kitchen floor. He had worked with the Merce Cunningham group and was very familiar with the current New York dance scene, which we Woody knew nothing about. The most memorable performance he produced was of Kei Takei and her group of dancers. I remember while shooting this scene, regretting not having the camera on tripod. And I still do.
